Claiming Vision:
Reimaging Maps to Personal Agency
“What you pay attention to grows.”
—adrienne maree brown, author and activist
In a time of fracturing, people need calm and open, supportive spaces to imagine and align with personal vision. This workshop invites participants to engage in immersive explorations, including mapping, creative visualization, and writing to explore the core threads of their values, passion, and life’s work.
Together we will envision ideas that make visible dynamic intersections and source new possibilities for our future. We will meet the realities of our current contexts, probe our burning questions, find fresh and invigorating ways to move out of stale comfort zones, and cross thresholds into possible life paths.
Join Dr. Lisa Donovan and Dr. Anne West, both artists, educators, and writers, to engage in a rich experiential process that mines personal agency by reshaping and reimagining patterned realities. Our work will culminate with the development of vibrant maps stretching toward new horizons of vision.
“Slowing down is not a function of speed. It’s a function of awareness; a function of presence.”
—Báyò Akómoláfé, philosopher, writer, activist
